Dubai Bans VISA Grace period and Overstay Fines announced for visitors, expats, foreigners.

New Directive Removes Additional Days Beyond Visa Validity
A new directive in Dubai has eliminated the visa grace period that previously allowed visitors extra days beyond their visa’s validity. Now, those overstaying their visit, tourist, or residency visas will be subject to fines.

Standardized Overstaying Fines
The Identity and Citizenship Authority (ICA) has standardized the overstaying fines in the UAE. As per the new rules, all types of visa overstaying fees, including for visit, tourist, and residence visas, have been set at AED 50 per day. This also implies an increase for those overstaying on a residency visa, as they will now be required to pay AED 50 per day, up from the previous AED 25 per day.

This will apply to all these types of visa in Dubai.
1-48-hour visa.
2-96-hour visa.
3-14 days Single entry short-term visa.
4-30 days Single entry short-term visa.
5- visit visa.
6-Multi entry long-term visa.
7-Multi entry short-term visa.

Fine for Overstay Visa.

Under a new directive, the Dubai visa grace period has been abolished. In addition, the ICA has standardized overstaying fines for all types of visas at AED 50 per day, which marks an increase for those overstaying on a residency visa.
